From a C-section to a natural VBAC at 39.

My first birth ended in a C-section. My second became a natural VBAC at 39. Between them came a loss, a long recovery, and a completely different relationship with yoga. This practice grew from that journey. I have practiced yoga for years, but pregnancy rewrote it for me. With my first child, the birth ended in a C-section. Recovery was hard, and I promised myself I would learn the prenatal practice my body actually needed — not the one a magazine told me to do. Between my two children came a pregnancy loss. Yoga became my healing path — not a workout, just a quiet daily return to the breath. Some days, five minutes on the mat was enough. "I chose to trust my body, and yoga guided me through that trust." When I was pregnant again at 39, the picture looked daunting on paper: hypothyroidism, a previous C-section, and a doctor warning of complications. I chose to trust my body. I practiced every day — mindful movement, pranayama, affirmations. At 36 weeks I began labor-preparatory asanas. When the contractions came, I felt calm. At 11:30 that night, my second daughter was born — a natural VBAC. That birth — vaginal, after a cesarean, at 39, with a thyroid condition — was my moment of grace. It is the reason this course exists: to help expecting mothers embrace pregnancy with strength, calm, and confidence — wherever their last birth ended. — Kavitha Mother of two · RYT-500 · Online. "“I met Kavitha during my 2nd trimester. She always checked in on how I was feeling, and her gentle guidance has helped me feel so much more connected to my body and my baby. The breathing techniques and pelvic floor exercises we practised significantly reduced my back pain and anxiety during labour. She is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and structures every session to perfectly suit pregnant moms. Her classes always ended making me feel deeply relaxed, physically relieved, and mentally prepared for labour.”

Many mothers come with questions around age, previous births, and what pregnancy may feel like this time around.
